Angeleno Records: The New Wave of West Coast Independence

Angeleno Records is an independent powerhouse born from the grit, chaos, and creative fire of Los Angeles. Founded and helmed by Riggy Marz, the label represents a new breed of artistry that refuses to be boxed in by corporate templates or fleeting industry trends. Rooted in authenticity and raw craftsmanship, Angeleno Records has become a nucleus for boundary-pushing hip-hop, experimental production, and honest storytelling straight from the underground.

At its core, Angeleno Records thrives on collaboration and culture—its roster isn’t just a lineup, but a brotherhood of visionaries who bring their distinct worlds together under one banner.

Riggy Marz

Riggy Marz is more than an artist—he’s a force of nature. A rapper, entrepreneur, and actor with a mind for both street business and cinematic vision, Riggy founded Angeleno Records to create a platform where real artists could control their narratives. Known for his unapologetic realism and cinematic approach to music, Riggy fuses raw lyricism with emotional storytelling, reflecting life in its most vivid extremes.

As a performer, Riggy’s presence has expanded beyond the mic. He’s appeared in major visual projects including Falling In Reverse’s “Watch the World Burn” and Ice Nine Kills’ “A Work of Art”, as well as the Amazon Prime documentary “A Tortured Mind: The Reality of Post-Incarceration Syndrome.” These appearances highlight his creative range and his ability to blend music, film, and performance into a single artistic identity.

As the CEO of Angeleno Records—a subsidiary connected through The Orchard and Sony ATV—Riggy has turned the label into a self-sustaining ecosystem for creative freedom. His motto is simple: keep the music real, the visuals cinematic, and the message authentic. Under his leadership, Angeleno’s artists are encouraged to release consistently and fearlessly: at least one single and music video per month, twelve songs per year minimum.

Riggy’s music lives somewhere between survival and transcendence. Whether it’s pain, hustle, or revelation—he delivers it with precision and purpose. His latest collaboration, the E.P. “Rose City Blvd” with producer Deadbeat Donnie, dropped on October 15th, 2025, marking a new chapter of dark, soulful storytelling that bridges the street and the spiritual.

Sunny Darko

Where Riggy brings the grit, Sunny Darko brings the mystique. As one half of the rap duo See See Twinz (alongside Riggy Marz), Darko is a lyricist with a poetic edge, balancing street sensibility with introspective depth. His verses cut through like confessions, offering a sharp perspective on modern life, personal demons, and the hunger to rise.

Darko embodies the creative polarity of Angeleno Records—the light and the dark, the confident and the vulnerable. His visual aesthetic often references California street life, from Sacramento roots to LA ambition, blending nostalgic storytelling with new-school experimentation. His collaborative spirit continues to expand, with an upcoming album alongside Ohio producer Deadbeat Donnie titled “Donnie x Darko II (Dark Shades & Ultra Violets)”, promising to push both artists’ sonic boundaries.

El Diablo Beats

Every movement needs its mad scientist, and El Diablo Beats is that alchemist for Angeleno Records. Known for his ominous, cinematic soundscapes and bone-rattling percussion, El Diablo crafts beats that feel both epic and intimate. His production seamlessly fuses the essence of classic hip-hop with modern trap and experimental textures, often blending analog warmth with digital menace.

El Diablo’s sound defines much of Angeleno’s aesthetic: dark yet emotional, polished but dangerous. Beyond being a producer, he’s also the lead singer of Sacramento hardcore band “Global Disgust,” bringing his raw, primal energy from the punk world into the hip-hop sphere. His debut project, “From Decayed to Divine,” a full-length collaboration with Sunny Darko, serves as an introduction to his distinct sonic universe—equal parts aggression, beauty, and catharsis.

El Diablo is the embodiment of artistic duality—one foot in chaos, one in creation.

King Kauran

King Kauran carries the fire of the streets and the mind of a philosopher. Hailing from Virginia, Kauran brings a different regional energy to Angeleno’s West Coast base, merging East Coast technicality with Southern grit and introspection. His production is razor-sharp—gritty yet catchy, introspective yet explosive.

Kauran’s production work has also turned heads; he’s crafted beats for heavy-hitting artists like Dizzy Wright and Marley B, solidifying his name as a producer of rare versatility. His catalog blends militant heartfelt reflections, giving a soundtrack to the unspoken truths of modern life.

Kauran’s energy is commanding, he’s meticulous—a perfectionist with purpose. Within the Angeleno family, he represents the grind ethic: relentless creation, personal evolution, and dedication to craft over clout. His work adds a sense of gravity and urgency to the label’s growing catalog.

Andre Legacy

A name that resonates deeply within Los Angeles’ underground lineage, Andre Legacy is both an artist and a mentor within the Angeleno ecosystem. Known for his longstanding contributions to West Coast hip-hop and his association with Dirt Nasty and Mickey Avalons' Platinum Single "My Dick", Legacy brings pedigree, wit, and history to the table.

His lyrical style is iconic—irreverent yet clever, comedic yet cuttingly real. As part of Angeleno Records, Andre Legacy bridges the past and present of LA rap culture, infusing old-school authenticity with the fresh creative spark of the new wave. His presence cements the label’s connection to the roots of independent artistry and cultural rebellion.

Deadbeat Donnie

Hailing from Ohio, Deadbeat Donnie brings a unique balance of Midwest soul and cinematic darkness to Angeleno Records. His production style is richly layered, emotional, and eerie—built around haunting melodies and textured drums that sound like the ghost of hip-hop’s past waking up in a new era.

Donnie’s collaborations with Riggy Marz and Sunny Darko showcase his adaptability and depth. Following the release of “Rose City Blvd” with Riggy Marz, Donnie is gearing up to drop the long-awaited “Donnie x Darko II (Dark Shades & Ultra Violets)”, an album that dives into the psychedelic, melancholic, and dreamlike corners of hip-hop. He represents the label’s expanding reach beyond the coast, proving that independent vision knows no borders.

The Angeleno Records Philosophy

Angeleno Records stands as a defiant statement in an era of overcommercialized music: that the most powerful art comes from authenticity. Every artist on the roster embodies a different face of truth—from Riggy’s cinematic vision and Darko’s poetic rawness to El Diablo Beats sonic darkness, King Kauran’s militant passion, Deadbeat Donnie’s shadowed melodies, and Andre Legacy’s veteran wisdom.

This isn’t a label chasing algorithms or viral fame. Angeleno Records is building legacy through storytelling, visuals, and timeless sound—a home for those who turn their scars into symphonies.

From the Graffiti covered alleyways of Los Angeles, to the rest of the West Coast, to every hood across America, each is filled with dreamers. Angeleno Records is the sound of the ones who made those dreams real.
